Project Background
Dengfeng Songji Cement Co., Ltd. is a renowned benchmark in China’s cement industry, previously recognized by the State Economic and Trade Commission as an “Advanced Enterprise in National Resource Comprehensive Utilization.” As a large-scale, modern cement production base integrating environmental protection and energy efficiency, the client operates multiple high-load production lines. In their continuous, round-the-clock production process, the core cement plant blowers and fans must maintain absolute operational reliability; any minor equipment shortcoming could compromise the output of the entire production line.
Application Scenarios and Challenges
Typical cement production conditions—such as raw material grinding and kiln tail exhaust—involve extremely high concentrations of hard dust particles. In this harsh environment, akin to constant “sandpaper abrasion,” standard ventilation equipment suffers severe physical erosion, causing impeller walls to thin rapidly or even fail due to perforation. The client set extremely rigorous service-life requirements for critical equipment, specifically raw mill exhaust fans and wear-resistant induced draft (ID) fans. There was an urgent need for a technical solution that could handle high airflow volumes while eliminating frequent downtime for part replacements and reducing high maintenance costs.
Yutong’s Solution and Core Advantages
Faced with the client’s stringent requirements, Yutong Blower’s technical team conducted an in-depth on-site assessment and tailored a heavy-duty centrifugal fan solution designed to withstand dust erosion.
Our engineering approach directly addressed the critical issue of wear:
Precision Aerodynamic Matching via Proprietary Software
We avoid guesswork in equipment selection. Leveraging proprietary fluid dynamics selection software, Yutong precisely simulated and calculated the client’s complex ductwork resistance. We selected the fan series offering the highest energy efficiency and smoothest airflow paths, thereby minimizing chaotic dust impacts on the blades at the source.
Heavy-Duty Anti-Wear “Armor” Technology
To counter the severe threat of prolonged, high-speed dust erosion, Yutong moved beyond the conventional approach of simply thickening steel plates. Instead, we installed high-hardness composite wear-resistant liners directly onto the critical load-bearing surfaces of the fan blades. This specialized armor layer effectively withstands extreme physical wear while maintaining the impeller’s overall structural integrity.
Customer Value Created
Yutong’s customized wear-resistant design delivered immediate, tangible results in the field: under equally harsh, high-dust operating conditions, the actual service life of the fan impeller was extended more than threefold—a remarkable achievement. This leap in performance eliminated the cycle of frequent maintenance required by the original equipment, saving the customer massive costs associated with downtime and spare parts procurement. Thanks to superior product quality and comprehensive after-sales engineering support, Yutong Blower has earned high praise from the customer, remaining their core fan supplier for eco-friendly, energy-saving production lines and maintaining a deep strategic partnership.
